Springs
I have pulled (I'm guessing) 3-400lbs out of the 928.
Lighter = cheap fast. I've got Eibach spring all around and it is primarily a track car. Has anyone cut a coil out of the springs? If you cut one round on the coil how much did it effect ride height?

Never done it on any 928 springs, but I have done it before on GM and aftermarket C.O. springs. The height will depend on not just the number of coils you cut, but the amount of the last coil you have to bend/shape for it to set square in the spring saddle.
On another note, as you shorten the spring, it gets stiffer.

all a spring is is a straight torsion bar which twists under load but has been bent into coils with one big difference as soon as two coils touch they no longer twist. That is how Eibachs are progressive the gap between coils varies. So it depends on which end of the spring you cut but shorter is always stiffer.

yes, glad you asked. We cut 1 coil out of Scot Grahams track car with the eibachs. worked like a champ!!!! no issues, worked great, made the car slightly stiffer and dropped the car down about 1". we are still at the max lowest point of the spring purch shock adjuster. we may cut another one out.
I think on the rear, we went down 1.5" coils and cut. (purches rotate so we could do the .5 coil cut)
the purches accomodate the cut springs perfectly. no need to bend the end.
