Has anyone lowered the seats in their 928? I would like to lower the floor mounts for a lower center of gravity?

I installed a Corbeau GTS bucket seat on the company's sliding rack and it's waaay too high. It doesn't look like there is much I can do to lower the seat. I need the same advice... It sux having to slouch to not have sunroof in my scalp.

southbound motor trimmers here in england offer a mounting kit to fit recaro pole positions, theyve taken the seat as low as it can go but still offer sliding ajustment front to rear.

I have 911 seats (that many?) in my car, and they were mounted on original spacers to get them higher. The first option to get lower would be to waste the spacers. But I guess you've already checked that your current seats aren't on spacers....

I cut down the seat rails in my '82. Pretty easy to do and it worked out pretty well, but its is a somewhat crude operation and done to the unibody, so proabably not for everyone. The rails are upside down U channels welded to the unibody. You can cut about 1" to 1.5" off them then make some aluminum blocks to go in the middle of the channels. Cut the rails with and angle grinder. Clamp the blocks in place, cross-drill and bolt. Then put the seats in place, mark the seat mounting holes, remove the seats, drill and tap the blocks.

I was thinking something along those lines also, karl. Seeing as my unibody is thrashed and I have dibs on a pristine sunroofless, non side moulding 1980 body, I may very well do some experimentation with this one as a learning tool.
