Hi there. This is my first post here. I had some trouble getting my account to work for some time. It would never send me my activation e-mail, but it finally worked this morning!
Anyway, I bought an 87 auto trans 928S4 about 8 months ago and I LOVE it. I have been looking for some local 928 owners in my area. I live in Warrenton Va, about 40 miles S/W of Washington DC.
Since I bought my baby ( 39,000 miles when I bought her and about 44,000 now ) I have replaced the dish wheels with C2 turbo replicas from the 928 specialists, added autothority chips, put in a momo steering wheel ( with Porsche horn button ), bought new floor mats and a new shift **** and boot kit and added a DVD in dash player and monster sound system. I plan on buying the jager eng blue LED dash lights and adding a MURF supercharger next spring!!!!
I have wanted a 928 since I was a kid and I feel like a kid again since I got mine!
Anyway, just wanted to say hi since my account is now working. I will post some pice of my baby later!

Thanks for the welcome. I will post some pics tonight. They are on my home PC and I am at work now. I told myself I'd own one before 40 and I got mine at 31 ( 32 now ).
Every time I drive it I stop and turn back and look after I park. No other car has ever made me do that LOL.

Welcome! You'll find this place to be the BEST resource ever. Buy the 2-year membership - it's totally worth it!
3 years after having bought mine... I still look back at it!

Welcome to the slippery slope of ownership
The area you live in is near the location for the "frenzy" each year. Your also not that far from "SITM" either.
Ive got some good links for new owners on my website that have been sent ot me by other owners.
Let see some pics!

Fishy,
I'll repeat the welcome...
Like you, I've loved the 928 since I was about 12, and I'm amazed that owing one now, my first, at age 34, is every bit the fulfillment of the fantasy! Despite the car's age, it still thrills me to drive it, look at, wash it, etc. Looking back after you park ain't bad; sometimes I sit in the garage staring...!
Looking forward to seeing your car.

Where are you located? (perhaps update your forum profile to include your location, and list the model year of your 928 in your signature).
Welcome!

I am located in Warrenton Va. I am having a problem with this site though. I just managed to get logged back in. It keeps telling me I am logged in when I type in my password and user name, but then brings the board back up saying I am not logged in......strange.

Randy,
It is set too and I can log in sometimes, but when I leave the site and come back it seems to take me several attempts. It could be because I am on my work PC and it's junk with weird settings. I will try at home and that should go better ( I hope )
thanks

I still stop and look back when I park my 928 too - and there's not one angle it doesn't look awesome from.
In fact, I can still remember the very first time I ever saw a 928. I was doing my Ob-Gyn residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix. Since my wife and I were dirt poor in those days, our date nights consisted of McDonald's and performance car "window shopping." One night we dropped by the Porsche dealership, and there, in the middle of the showroom floor was the most amazing automotive sight I had ever seen. You have to remember, this was in the days of 70's "boxes and creases" design. My exact words were, "Holy ****!"
And I don't swear!
A hearty welcome to the club. It's sort of like group therapy for any addictive behavior!
