No Trust Possible Among Rennlist Members?
This issue is resolved between the seller and myself to complete satisfaction.
The experience is now a positive one and all of us will have Happy Holidays!
I wish the same to all rennlist members, too!

Sorry to hear this. Remember Rennlist is a great place but there are many members. I had real problems with a Rennlist member (wasn't at the time) selling me a supple, pristine leather dash and when it arrived it was a badly-cracked vinyl unit. Never got my money back, total loss.

I even had a VERY well-known Rennlister complain to ebay when I withdrew a bid I had made because he refused to send more pics or answer my questions.
Lessons learnt. Never do business again with such people

Hello Stefan,
Sorry to hear about the rip-off. The internet is the new frontier, much like the wild west. Sadly there are alway hucksters and snake oil peddlers. There is no filter to keep them out of Rennlist.
The best way to not get ripped off is to deal with vendors that earned a good reputation. It may be more expensive to buy a new set of wheels from them, but you get what you want the first time! Ask list members and they'll be glad to tell you if they've gotten good service from a vendor.

I'm guessing you've already tried to settle this with your fellow member? If not this isn't the right fourm. Yet
Shane - way to "out" the seller. I just hope you've got the right 911 guy (former 928 guy) selling FRH turbo twists on both Rennlist & ebay with expensive non-matching tires.
Thanks for the warning

I'm sorry to read of your troubles...
It's tough to know the good from the bad from the ugly. Your best bet is to ask all questions before bidding. A responsible ebayer will answer your questions thoroughly (that is if the question was posed thoroughly) and timely and pleasantly. If these criteria are not met and you feel a bad vibe, don't bid. Also read the entire auction well, and the fine print. Make sure you understand the seller's policies. If you don't understand, ask before bidding. Make sure to check the seller's feedback rating as it tells a lot. Take a look at mine for instance...
It is too bad there are rats on Ebay as it leaves a bad taste on the mouths of many. I fear it could carry in the future, a similar stigma to the 'old school' ignorance that the internet is all ****. Shheesh. It's only half **** anyway.
And to be fair as there are rats anywhere, so there are suckers.
Fortunately most people I talk to about the subject believe Ebay rocks, as I do as well (rock and find ebay to rock )
Good night

Managing peoples expectations can be a difficult thing. If you look back at when the seller bought them from us he was extremely happy with them. The difference may have been the information that ws give to him prior to making his purchase from us. We went out of our way to inform him what they were and what they were not. Most often buying used parts on Ebay usually does not afford the buyer and seller to make their expectations known.

Yep, been thinking that too. The 200 dollar refund came from the seller? That in itself shows good intent. And he never saw the damage????? Wow. Goog guy IMHO.
I think that with the offset of R65 and F52 they should fit your car perfectly. They do mine. Ron, you are OK in my book.

I'm with you Greggles, make sure you have done all you can before bringing it to the 'list. This is a great place to come when all else fails, however.
