Default daily american driver/s

Hey Heinrich,

You did.... I'm also an immigrant, so I can relate... But now that I got a Blue Passport in addition to my other Green one, I guess I am not offended by the "American" comment. n

Not to come up for the guy, but the 928 has a suspention that enables the rear wheels to slightly steer in curves. Don't know if it's called AWD though.

ARoodnat,
I believe that qualifies as Honda-esque AWS (all-wheel steering) that was so chic in the late 80s. So, who came up with it first? Honda or Porsche? My guess......Porsche.
Cheers,
Tim

I think Porsche came up with it first:

AWD is commonly referred to as All-Wheel-Drive. The 928 doesn't really have any steering on the rear, it has active suspension which is quite a bit departed from steering ... no steering happens, just a suspension geometry correction. Now we do these days have Chebby pickups the size of some small countries that do steer with all wheels. Pretty cool IMHO.

Huh? Are you really sure Heinrich? No problems here. My popup killer doesn't mention any popups either. Sorry if it does. Anyone else experienced the same? If so, I'll delete it from my post.

You say that car is in Iowa? Ummm... Doesn't POT grow wild all over that state? Sounds like someone had a big fatty before listing it for sale.

Well, give the fact that many of the cities around here in Iowa are small, the fact that Dewitt, IA has a 928 for sale, means there is something wrong... I pretty much never seem them around here. The last one I saw on the road in Iowa was when I was going to school at ISU back about 10 years ago and a guy that went to school there had a Black one (not sure if it was an S4 or not - but pretty sure it was not a GT or GTS). Car sounded great. But I digresss.

Oh yeah, if it was sitting higher, I would not doubt if it was AWD as they seem to turn about anything in to 4 wheel drive around here.
