It was great fun and George and his photo assistant took some cool pictures!

The karts seemed to be equal, and I guess I ended up i the most equal of them all.

It was great meeting you Anders! Thanks for joining us.
Anders is a funny guy....the worker at the front counter asked us how we did on our way out. Anders simply replied "I was the fastest Swedish driver on the track" Talk about an understatement!

I experienced some language problems though when one of the officials held up the of the officials held up a sign warning about bumps (twice).. What does that mean?

Anders,
Bumping huh? I think they figured gokarting was a non-contact sport.
I guess I should feel lucky you didn't drive my car the same way you
drove the kart...
Oh and that was my car that had the broken axle:

This was a lot of fun - even though I spun out a few times and lost some laps until they could get me back. The track was very slippery in some areas, and it took me quite some time to figure out how to deal with this changing slippiness. Towards the end my lap times got a lot better, but I was still a second slower than the pros...
It was fun to get together for racing, pizza, and then Swedish coffee at my house. Thanks everyone for being there. We had a great time!
Talking about Swedes invading: My house is currently being rearranged to become a 24-hour racing simulator... Just kidding!!!! Anders got a PlayStation 2 and is practicing for hours. First night he drove from 11PM to 8AM. Maybe that training is why he was so fast at the go-kart track...

Hi kids -
I had a blast on Saturday. Poor Bill, he probably could have taken the fight to Anders but I kept roughing him up. I got the "no bumping" sign once after one particularly flagrant passing attempt. Anders is right - rubbin' is racin'. That's how we 'muricans do it.

The no bump rule was violated regularly, all in great fun. Dennis and I were playing bumper cars for several laps, and I'm glad they didn't call us on it.
Yeah, I need to put the 79 back together. Right now it has it's wiring harness chopped up into little bits.

I went back to the track today and drove for a full two hours. After about 45 minutes I was down in the mid 21's. There were two faster drivers on the track at the same time though..
