Andrew...some of the pictures show only a part of the caliper painted. I painted every visible surface. The backsides are bare, but no one will, or could, ever see those sides. Here's what mine look like, although the picture distorts the shade of red somewhat:

Cosmoline, that's a blast from the past. But is it safe to use on Bakelite?
My mechanic used an Eastwood home powder coating kit to do his Audi calipers in black and they look great and will wipe clean with a dry cloth. You can't say the same for a lot of painted ones.
