Default TV Shark Sighting.

Saw a sweet 83-86 gaurds red 928s on "Magnum P.I." Yesterday. I only post this because my favorite TV show is Magnum, and my favorite car is a Porsche 928. Silly , I know, but I'm a little BUZZED right now. Cheers

I think its been said before, but on the "E's True Hollywood Story" for Magnum they said how Tom Selleck bought all the main cast members one after their first successful year. They wanted one instead of the ferrari, but lack of a convertible/targa would have made filming harder.

Heinrich, The episode is called "L.A." October 1, 1986. Note...It is a " to be continued" episode. Also, Thomas gets shot down with a marrige offer. Very troubling for Magnum.

You guys need to check your Tivo. It just recorded a show about the history of the 911 and had a couple minutes on the 928.

Coming up is a show about the history of Porsche and the 928 will probably be in the one more.

I did happen to flip past Some Kind of Wonderful and saw a silver S (1986 movie) in the driveway just before the bad guy got his ego stepped-on. It is a known siting but was fun anyway.

Well the 2nd Porsche history show was on the 911 and racing again. No 928. I'm gonna burn a copy on DVD of the one with the 928. I should snip out that scene and upload.

No TV? Come on even Saddam must of had a Tivo in the rat hole he was in.

50 bucks will get ya one. Just don't send your money to 928 int for only 1 month and you'll have enuff cash for 6 Tivos!

Most of the stuff it picks out is on the speed channel or History International channel.

The monthly charges are what keep me from doing it. First, there's the monthly fee for tivo. What's that, 12 or 20 dollars p.m.? Then, because you have this great tool, you have to get real cable, not the basic basic stuff I have, so add 60 dollars. Per month. So now just to have a tivo I have another 80 to 90 dollars' expense I could spend (and do btw) every month on Porsche things .......

Interesting.....Magnum with a 928 instead of the 308...I sure like the 308 & the 928....I wonder if I would feel the same way today if I saw Magnum driving a 928 all those years ago?

On a more serious note....one of my sisters old boyfriends dad was the production manager for Magnum PI...used to pick his son up from school in the ferrari (in hawaii of course)....I should try to get a hold of him and find out the real truth, this could be interesting?
