If you ask me (not that you did ) .... a 928 would have been VERY disappointing for the reason that there was no SOUND from the tailpipes back then. Porsche didn't apparently realise that the sound they were muffling so carefully could have made the 928 a major seller worldwide.
Take a listen to the Cayenne and even better, the Carrera GT.
Now had Porsche given her a little tailpipe goodness, a 928 would have been a KILLER Magnum P.I. car ... Imagine a Strosek, or scissor-door, or cabrio ... ENDLESS possibilities.

So now just to have a tivo I have another 80 to 90 dollars' expense I could spend (and do btw) every month on Porsche things .......

I dumped cable about a year ago and not looking back. Once you have the Tivo it can't live without it. Never miss a show again.

I'm reviving an old thread here. Saw another 928S in Magnum P.I. "Black on White" probably the same Guards red one featured in at least one other episode. Curiously enough the car pulling up in the wide angle shot is a 928, but in the close up shot when the rear trunk lid is lifted you can clearly see the car has become a silver 944.
Ok, back to Olympic coverage (and work now).
