I like my interior with the silver gray and black combo; however, I still think it comes in 2nd to Nicole's solid gray and upgrades.

I wanted the later body style with Red exterior and with silver gray interior ( only offered in 87/88) and didn't want the air bag. I also had to have no side moldings. I also like the dash trays since I have an amplifier in the passenger one.

Your doing the right thing finding out as much as you can - then get the right one for you.

I like your interior, Jerry! It's nice and calm with the black, grey and metal (3 dominant colors/materials, as I usually recommend as a maximum). Only that red shifter looks a little lonely in there...

Are those silver speaker grills the originals, painted, or are these aftermarket speakers?

Jerry - I agree with Nicole. Great looking interior - especially the carpet! I would also prefer the silver/gray leather for the shifter instead of the red.

Thanks! It's a far cry from the condition of some of these cars on Rennlist, but that's why I'm here. To learn from the masters...

Default interior differences

Since we're offering interior pics, I thought I'd jump in to say that I love my monochrome cinnamon/caramel color...

Chadster: This look beautiful! The monochromatic look reduces the number of colors and makes for a much calmer atmosphere... which is why I wanted all grey.

Two things I notice on your car

1. the markings on your console switches have worn off. Consider investing a few bucks at Jager Engineering nfor the overlays - they look like the real thing (you can't tell the difference). Go to www.jageng.com

2. You have very little wear on the outer sides of your drivers seat - that's great! Pay close attention to this area, and get some leather dye from leatherique.com, if you need to touch it up. I use an airbrush to do this. Problem: The leather darkens a little over time, so the touch up dye needs to be matched to your aged leather...

Nicole,
I've noticed before but I'll say it now, you've got a keen eye for the details!

As to the leatherique, do I need color code to match the dye color? If so, is there a source for interior color codes/names?

Thanks

Jerry,

That is the color combo I want. I'll trade ya the white stuff for my black?

Jim,

In my case, would the dash color be different than the seat color? Or does/did Porsche spec different names for various interior bits?

RED UFO, I hate to say it but I already have enough black. I want all grey like Nicole. There are only about 5 red GTSs with all gray interior that I have seen - each time it gets more tempting (none with a 5 speed as I recall) - too bad my 928 is finally "as good as new".
