Default SNOW

Just got home from Madison. 3 hours, 40 minutes. Good time.

And there's snow on the ground.

Along about Black River Falls, I saw snow.

Along about Eau Claire, I saw snow and ice.

20 miles past Eau Claire, I saw salt trucks.

The season's over. I'm bummed.

There's a whole street closed off in my town due to the large volume of snow...

The city hires snow machines each year so kids can go sledding after Thanksgiving

You come over to Wisconsin and don't tell anybody? Man, what a guy.

Glad your drive was safe - last car to be stored was put to bed yesterday - time for 6 months watching taped F1 and CART races.

Thad, FYI Minnesota hasn't seen real snow in years! We moved to Colorado just about a year ago now and now I know what real snow is like! I have a good 18 inches on the ground now and a predicted 2 more FEET over the next day or so. The other great part is that it doesn't get so blasted cold. Within a few days of a storm I can usually sneak the 928 out, head north(?) down the mtn and have some 50 degree weather to cruise around in, and oh yeah, no salt!

When the snow is deep and the need for speed hits....well see the pic

Sorry, Erik, we were going to visit family for a mere 2 nights... actually drove down on Thanksgiving.

Martins, those are lovely photos. I really like the one with the beehives...

Thaddeus,
No problem - just pullin your chain - we hope to do a twin cities run in January just to get away.

Martini,
Awesome photo's - I'm assuming they don't cover everything in salt where you are? If they stopped using salt here, I'd take the shark out ever once and a while in winter just for fun. If everyone was responsable and bought snow tires, all this damn salt probably wouldn't be needed. Guys like this doctor I know with a TT 911 that insists on driving it year round. He finally got snow tires last season.

I love those photos martini! The ambiguity of color is fantastic. Have to look twice to tell if it's black and white or color. The white car lends itself to snow pictures perfectly.

Shane... we drove thru snow a month ago on the
way to Sharktoberfest. Some Sierra Nevada sharks
nearly didn't make it there due to snow, too.

Randy... no, do the middle one !
