Brake Line Drips
Can anyone suggest what I could use to stop brake fluid dripping out of the brake lines when you remove the calipers and the attached flexible hose? I've tried stemming the flow with matchsticks, tissue paper and rags, but ideally I'd like to be able to screw a cap on the end. Any ideas?

Paul,
I've got a container of various stoppers, rubber feet, and such.
Among them is this [see below], which I found to be suitable for stopping the brake fluid from dripping last time I had my calipers off (at least a year ago).
I think its intended use is as a rubber foot that you'd install by pulling it through a small hole and seat it like you would a rubber grommet. It turns out, though, that the slender end feeds into the end of a brake line and the increasing diameter part that follows plugs things up pretty nicely.
I'm pretty sure that I just got these at the local hardware store.

If I read it correctly, the flex line has been removed with the caliper, leaving the hard pipe end on the inner fender wall ... ? If that is the case, the easiest plug is an old brake hose, cut and crimped, or a 'golf tee' stuffed in the end - and threaded onto the hard pipe.

Oops, I think you read more carefully than I did, Garth. I was talking about plugging the end of the brake hose that's been disconnected from the caliper, but that's not what UKKid asked.
So... what Grath said.

If you are talking of sealing a flared pipe end, with a tube nut behind it, look for - some makes fit caps over the end of the bleeder nipples to keep out road debris - these make ideal caps for flared pipe ends as they snap on positively, can break off inside or do any damage at all.
