thats a pretty good pic!
but given that the rate of expansion isnt that "fast" the input line wouldnt have to be big would it?
I really dont know what the tank is for. I always assumed it was a buffer for expansion.
Anyone?
I copied Porken's setup this past summer - works fine, no pressure / vacuum in the tank. In fact, only way it could build pressure with this setup is if the line going to the filter was plugged - I know this because during install I had a vice grips on that line. Took apart the fuel line few days later and gas went everywhere.
No start and vacuum in tank problems solved. Apparently if the computer detects no fuel pressure it shuts the ignition side down. My fuel pump is shot. I'm not sure if a new one comes with the check valve and line that goes to the fuel filter, because it hits the pump terminals if turned. Also a sticking vacuun control valve is causing the vacuum in the tank, it keeps the fuel tank atmospheric if its working, but if stuck closed with the amount of fuel being pumped under boost you get vacuum in the tank.
Jim,
Call Jim Bailey at 928 International and get one of the Bosch racing pumps to replace it. They are supposed to bolt right in place of the stock pump but have a much larger capacity.
Thanks for the update.
