Must Sell My 84' 928S
Anyone out there interested in my Car ? I hope that I'm not breaking the rules here. Randy, please let me know if I am ? I stumbled into a great deal on a 1982 911 Targa that I couldn't refuse. Can't leave the Toyota 4 Runner out in the cold all winter. My car is in Excellent shape. E-Mail ronredifer@att.net for questions. It is listed in the members area for sale too. Any other questions can be asked to Fred Kuhn at Glendale Automotive at (317) 257-2492. He is fixing an oil leak this week and knows the car well. I'll give a beter price to Rennlist Members.

I love the color combination, and that it's an '84 - it already has the 4-speed automatic, but still the less complicated 2-valve engine. If I had some extra dough available...
I hope it finds a good home! Best of luck, and come visit us whenever you have shark withdrawals!

Ahh...what a shame... I would love to get my hands on a solid cheap 928 to use as a daily driver if I get my new job... Unfortunately I won't know till a couple of weeks from now. If its still available then please send me a PM.

Gorgeous car, but you are selling it because you bought a 82 911? oh and you don't want to leave your 4-runner outside!?
Sorry, I think I read something wrong, you are selling your gorgeous 928 because you bought an older slower 911, and a 4 runner needs a garage spot? dude i have a brand new Benz sitting outside, I think your 4-runner will make do...

Way too much money for a plain-jane 84 and auto at that....Maybe if you started the auction at $4K with NO RESERVE you might get some bites on eBay.....(in my opinion).

I bought my '85 EURO with 20k fewer miles, similar excellent overall condition and maintenance (recent TB/WP) and better interior for HALF your opening bid....(Of course - I have always felt that I STOLE it!)
I REALLY, REALLY hope that you get $12k+ for it!
BTW - Excellence Mag this month has the "Market Update" for 928's...and it is usually (IMHO) a bit high. Their 'Market Price' for an '84 in EXCELLENT condition is $10,788.

My friend just sold a black/black 86 1/2 for $13,500 - the car was cherry. My neighbor is thinking of asking $8,000 for an 84 red/black with C2 wheels - headers and custom exhaust. That car is in nicer shape than the 86 1/2 mentioned above.
I do hope you get your asking price, going into winter it doesn't seam realistic. I agree you sould start the auction lower to get people bidding - that's the whole point of an auction. Starting that high doesn't offer any advantage over Auto Trader except possible increased exposure.
