I am not certain why someone needs to alter the appearance of their car to be different. In my neck of the woods I rarely see another 928 so I'm already driving something different by most standards. The "pink" car is sweet. I bet it is stunning in person.

I know exactly why ... it's a very personal thing. Here you have the opportunity, if you've always wanted a tummy tuck, a smaller nose, a bigger biceps .... you can do it. That is why.

I customise all my cars except those that are in concours condition. Supercharger; full leather; sport seats; H4; all that good stuff.

SC, big brakes, H4 etc. etc are all worthwhile upgrades that enhance the driving pleasure IMO. Adding plastic just for looks when the car already is really distinctive just escapes me. To each his/her own. I applaud anyone that will jump in and mix it up as it takes tons of patience. I'd rather be rippping up the highways. I have seen a couple of the Jacquemond kits installed and painted in person and they look nice. I'm one of the few people that liked the rear wing in another thread.

Damn... if there are 928s that have had worse things done to them, I don't want to see them.

I just can't shake the way it appears from my head, and I can't shake the image of this gold-toothed, fur-coated fellow in a bad suit driving it...
It sounds significantly more tasteful, but I can't/don't want to convince myself that it is true!

That is your own loss. You decide whether you want to approach things with openness or prejudice. The latter clouds your vision for reality and makes you experience life only within the limits you set for yourself. If that's all you aim for in life, that's fine.
