HI Everyone, Can any one tell me size allen wrench for the bolts holding the front calipers onto an '83? They are under those plastic dust caps that keep junk off of them. I think they are around 8mm but I couldn't seem to get a 10 mm in and I think an 8 is to small (iirc). Can't find my 'allen keys' now anyway. Sears does't have a 9mm hex socket (right name for it ??) so I'm guessing 9mm isn't a "standard size".


Any help would be appreciated. Thank-you.

the whole caliper comes off with two 19mm head bolts. Nothing else required to remove the whole caliper.

Not advisable to dismantle caliper halves at the cap screws, IIRC!!!!

jp 83 Euro S AT 48k, without this problem.
