Hey gang -

There's currently a problem with the Rennlist Member webs. It won't be resolved until John D. gets back from vacation.

Sorry about that.

I for one have a couple hundred pix. Somewhat more than half of them were taken on the PRIVATE vault tour and will not be posted(sorry, folks... gotta show up if you want ALL the goodies). As for the rest... at ~1.7MB each, they need some processing to attain the more acceptable ~40KB apiece that I usually post... and I have been buried in work, both at my day job and also with a fairly complicated CGI script that I have a close deadline for in one of my "other" lives that I live. I hope to have some of them up in the next day or two, the rest within a week or so.

Again... this was an AWESOME event, and while the days away from my usual responsibilities have resulted in some unusual pressures on my time, it was WELL WORTH IT. Barring catastrophe, I'll be there next year.

I've got over 100 pictures but they are of too high a resolution to post here. Any advice as to how to reduce their file size would be appreciated, as I would love to post some of them for you all. It was a great weekend! BTW, I'm still waiting to hear who won what for the informal 'Concours' we had at Peterson... anybody??

I have to talk to Dan about the concours...we were under pressure to tally it all up because the "vault" tour was about to get underway. As I had the tally in front of me and everyone else too, I saw that the winner in 4 out of the 6 categories...was...uhmmm....me. At that point I thought, why did I even put those concours cards on my car, I need to be exempt from all of this. So in the spirit of things (and because I REALLY wanted one of those photos) I took 1 of the prizes and gave the other 3 to the next runners up. So from what I remember (which is a feat in itself) My GTS won best in show, Tony Harkin-best engine, Maverick-best interiror(you HAD to see this, hopefully someone will post a pic of the cow hide interior) then Marton won a couple and I can't remember which one and the last one went to an older Gentleman who had a beautiful teal 78(?) with a great interior.

RON PERRY was quite generous in donating 6 enlarged photos of his famous "928 and the Moon" photo. They are superb and we thought them to be great awards for the concours.

The giveaways at Saturday nights dinner were sensational. One of these 'fests Randy, you'll have to stick around. This list is copied from my "Thank you" post.....Randy, you made a few responses on that thread...didn't cha read it???

Interesting, wearing the same "lucky green" colour. If that was before, where are the after pictures?

Heinrich, I did list those in the list above, but I am glad that you brought that up. We did have the opportunity to promote 928 artwork....something you just don't see out there! This stuff went over quite well and I will most definately work on getting more for the next event. Aside from Ron Perry's contribution, Jeff Hembolt was good enough to secure signed copies by Dru Blair of his 928 blazing through the mountains rendering. Man I wish I had one of these! We auctioned these off to a couple of very nice new homes. The one of a kind item, Heinrich was fortunate enough to get. (Incidently, I had a couple of folks come up after offering more for it ) Jennifer had painted a great view of a 928 with acrylics on hard board...yes, absolutely suitable for framing. Heinrich is a lucky man and I hope you put it in a great spot!

So if anyone has ties to more 928 artwork, get in touch with me...folks (928'ers) LOVE this stuff! I know I do!
