I just read it.........It expresses, but still understates, the passion many of us have for the 928. Personally I am proud to be called a "gear head" by Dave roberts, and consider it no small point of pride that I do all my own work and my car is in EXCELLENT shape. Owning something of value is one thing, being personally involved in maintaining that value is quite another.

Many thanks. It was a great way to wrap up my 928 ownership experience as I have traded for an 01 Boxster. My car has found a new home and I am starting a new chapter. There are a few vocal folks who leave the 928 community bitter-- I'm talking about a certain 300ZX owner who was once an avid 928 supporter but now discourages any 928 ownership at all. To each his own. But I choose not to leave at all and in fact remain glued to the 928 forum for interesting fixes and for sale signs. You never know when those 928 manuals will come in handy again. They are not for sale. Just to give you an idea of how much I love the 928, I convinced someone I consider a good friend, Ben Burris, to loan me the keys to his 86.5 928 auto during a recent leaf tour. He got the Boxster keys. I think we all know who got the best ride that day.
Best wishes.

PS I know what you mean about working on the 928. I only hope that the Boxster community will share as much knowledge and that working on the car will offer as much satisfaction as the 928.
Best wishes.
