Was this on a "road simulating" dyno, or at idle not under load? In NY, every year we have to put it on a setup like that to pass emissions, and I really don't wan to remove a SC and related hardware every year. I would be fine with the visual as long as cats are in place and it passes the sniffer.

It's supposed to be the "Treadmill (dynamometer) Test for cars between model year 1984 through 1995, however; they did the "Tailpipe Test". Car in park, emergency brake on, and rev the engine and hold it @ 2500 RPM till they tell you to let off. That was it.
No visual inspection under the hood or to verify the existance of the cats.
