Default 928M SC Kit selected for Makotec S5

I am pleased and proud to announce that our Stage 1 and 2 Supercharger kits have been selected by Makotec for inclusion in their Porsche 928 S5 supercar kits.

Shown below is the 928 Motorsports Headunit just before it goes into the box to be shipped to South Africa for their Oct 25th International Car Show.

According to what I am told, the South African Car Show is the largest on the continent, and they expect 160,000 people thru the door. And what is the first car you will see when you walk thru the front gates? A Porsche 928 S5 from Makotec with a 928 Motorsports Stage 1 kit on it! Cool!

When the show is over, and Makotec kits go to full production, 928 Motorsports will be the North American agent for them. Pictures are still hard to come by as the body shape is still quite literally evolving.... but here is a peak:

Good for you Carl! Hope it turns out to be a profitable relationship.

As for the "S5" I know a lot of comments (positive and negative) have been thrown around about it's asthetics. Personally, I think it's kind of cool. One thing I noticed in this larger picture is that the mirrors are quite different. Interesting.

One other note: A neighbor of mine is Italiian (literally - has the accent and everything). We were talking about Ferraris the other night. He related a story about a gentleman who bought a yellow Ferrari. My neighbor took the words right out of my mouth when he said (say it in an Italian accent... it's better that way), "There are only 2 colors for a Ferrari, Red and Black! If you have a yellow Ferrari, you must be GAY!" I wonder... does this hold true for the P-cars too?? Just thought I'd stir up the bee's nest a bit.

Yellow is the color of Modena, Ferrari's home town.. Many of the winners were yellow or colours other than red....

Giallo Fly to be correct..

Default My two cents

I really think the car should be called an S6, the GTS was the S5.

I am a non-traditionalist - and I luv the kit. Unfortunately its a bit too late. Maybe it is a good reason to save another from the junkyard and rebuild it. Anyone know a good divorce lawyer?
