Default Exhaust pics

I have a 83 Euro with a hacted up exhaust. Does any body have any pics
of there exhaust that could work. Also duels verses single 3" or should it
be larger. I am using the stock manafolds. Any advise would be great.
I also need to run a cat.

Green . . My Euro is in the shop getting the front shocks & new springs with the adjusters put on. I will try to post pics on Saturday for you. That should give you some kind of idea.

check the recent postings on the ott x-pipe, lots of pics there. ive got one of these and the rmb also, loud at the moment with nothing but the stock intermediate baffles but enjoyable with the windows down - sounds awesome but definitely not discreet!

On my 84 Euro S motor I have stock manifolds into an S4 dual cat, connecting into a 3" pipe with a Borla then into another Borla race muffler. Sounds good and deep....like an annoyed growl. Put the Ott x-pipe in place of the cat and the sound becomes a vicious snarl. Vicious snarl is good for racing, not good for everyday driving. S4 cat makes it perfect for everyday. Both the S4 cat and Ott x-over will fit to your manifolds without any mods, but from there back you will have to make a custom exhaust. On the early cars there is not enough room between the transmission and battery box to run an exhaust pipe (like the 86 US and S4's), so a single 3" pipe works best. Or use smaller dual pipes next to each other like the Euro and 85 US cars.

RichardS,Did you notice any difference in power after replacing the system.drnick, I tried to check the
archives but I am not very good at navigating around rennlist yet. Ron I thank you for the responce
cant wait to see the pics. Did you notice any difference in power? My concern is not the collector,
off the manafolds, but routing the duel pipes after that. Single is no prob.
thank you
need pics

I don't yet have an "after" dyno run, so until then there is no way to know how much more power I got. But I'm sure it's there, afterall it originally had the stock 1980 single exhaust and cat! It does rev MUCH more quickly, gets up to 140 mph quickly and easily during open road racing. Also seems to run much cooler temp at those speeds....closer to the bottom white line where-as last year it was at/just over the top white line. (I ran the Ott x-over during the last race)

Sorry, no pics.

It breathes so much nicer now. You should have hears it before I put the Anza muffler on it. Talk about BWAAAAAAH. The windows on the house rattled. So I knew I had to tone it down. I'd go with the custom duals before a fat 3" system. The tips the guy put on he had in the shop.

Here is the piece that merges my MSDS Headers to 3" exh. And the SS tips on the other end coming out of the muffler. I hope this works.

Cheers
