Ron,
It looks like you got one dual exhaust except one muffler - do you have anything else - how loud is it. I am considering x-pipe and 2 flowmaster 40's, dual 2-1/2's all the way.

Read Ott's site on dual verses single. Because you have no other mods, I think you will end up losing power with a dual set up. I have some engine mods with MSDS headers and still stayed with a single 2.5" Borla exhaust. I had a custom "Y" made and the power is fine. I lost my low end due to the intake mods, but the car metamorphisizes at 3200rpms.

My system was so hacked up/backed up that it needed replacement. With the RMB it sounds sweet. Very nice cruising sound & some serious BWAAAAAH under WOT.

edit: The Euro passed Texas emissions with flying colors. I credit that to the cat. conv.

Keith . . . Your system . . . sweeeeeeeet.

Warren . . . I have a single Anza muffler with dual inlet/outlet. I think 2 1/4 all the way back. I noticed a hugh difference. If the system made me lose any power I wouldn't know. The old system was choking the engine. Once the vaccuum issues are resolved, it should be one wild ride.

Warren,
Excellent idle rumble. Tame but with a nice growl. Under WOT, well . . . you just gotta hear it. No angry neighbors when I go by, just thier kids smiling & pointing when I tap the pedal when I go by.

Lots of heat shielding, bends, and money . You could actually do it easier if you had a fuel cell, at least I think.

Hey Ron,
that dual exhaust looks very nice! Identical setup I'm going to do on my '79 euro, but with a magnaflow can instead. Nice work!

Barry, I'm also thinking about a dual system with a Magnaflow. I'm thinking the Tru-X muffler will go where the dead cat is now with dual 2.5" pipes to the headers and to the rear. I know it'll be loud, but I think it will be neighbor tolerable.

Hey Matt,
great idea, probably what I'll end up doing, but with smaller pipes as my little '79 euro has no power (230 isn't much at all).
It will be loud, but the funny thing about the magnaflows is that while cruising, its completely fine. Once you get on it, whoa...
With the 2.5" pipes, you should be able to run them side by side all the way back with no problems, but once you get to the crossmember at the rear, you might get a little tight, but you'll find that out

Well, just ordered the magnaflow muffler #14386 at $140 Canadian - 4 to 6 weeks delivery (obiously not 928 Int.). This muffler has the 2 in - 2 out. Now, before it arrives I will be locating 15 to 20 feet of 2-1/2 inch stainless. I have a freind who is a welder by trade and has a bender so I am on my way. I just hope that the system is not too loud. All I will have is this muffler and the pipes - nothing else... will be very clean looking exhaust.
