Default Drive for Breast Cancer

Well I would like to get a drive/event together to raise money for Breast Cancer. It would kind of be like a poker run, but with Porsche’s. See my Grandma was just diagnosed with it and her sister, mother, and multiple aunts have passed away from it, so it hits hard here. I was just wondering if anyone would like to do something like this? We could all pay a few bucks, take a nice drive and then have some food afterwards. I would like to start planning this soon, but don’t know how many people we could get. Please let me know if anyone would be interested. If anyone has any other ideas please share them. This is also posted in the 944 section. Thanks!!

Indeed. If someone over here is willing to organize it, maybe we could have a west coast sister event?

Thanks for the interest. That would be great if we could get them going in different states. If enough people would be interested I would be willing to drive down there and start planing one there also. I may need a bit of help on the planning though. Again Thanks!!

Where would be the best area to have this? I have family in Cali so I would have a place to stay there. All suggestions are welcome.

I know there are lots of Porsche owners in the SF Bay Area who will participate in a fun drive or cruise at the drop of a hat. One for a charitable goal would attract lots of people. So Cal probably has similar numbers, but I'm not a local so I can't be sure.

Given that everyone in the Pacific Northwest would be unlikely to be able to travel to SF, may I recommend something more "in the middle" ....

I guess it's going to be far for someone either way ... but the state lines between California and Oregon offer some of the most beautiful, and also spirited roads anywhere .... Looking right at the coast, there are very scenic and interesting places. Can you San Diegans make it that far up?
