Check out the Turbo Twist that I just got from Mark at 928Intl. They're a little tight in the rear. I need help raising the rear quarter ppanel an inch. Any ideas? They sure look great! 245/40/18's and 265/35/18's.

Um Redidrum,
The tires are on the wrong way, the tread pattern on those are unidirectional, and should be pointed in the forward direction. You need to flip them around, or the tires could malfunction, and you could get hurt....

Richard,
Are you serious? I went out and looked at them again. Made me look! They all have the bottom of the "V" facing forward. They are the Bridgestone "SO-2". Am I an Idiot? They do have a spacer with the studs attached that may be able to be removed. I'm only seeing 5 studs and not 10 like the spacers I've seen.
Let me know if you're bluffing?
Thanks,
Ron

Look at the sidewall if you still have any doubts at all. Somewhere on the sidewall it should indicate the direction of rotation with an arrow, something like this: >>Rotation>>

Ron,
look for the rotation marks on the sidewall, or an easy rule of thumb with V groove tread is that when the tires are viewed from the rear, the tip of the V should be towards the top of the car. This is to channel the water away from the tread as Dave mentioned.
Some tires such as the Conti Sport Contact II that I run are unidirectional as well, but instead of a rotation arrow, they say "Outside" on the outer sidewall. The Conti Tread pattern is easier to get confused, as they have straight grooves.
As Garth mentioned, just swap L/R, and all would be fine. I don't ever bluff about safety, people could get hurt seriously. A simple thing like that, and driving in the rain, you would definitely wreck it....
I always check the tires when being mounted, one shop I went to years ago thought I was a pain, as I made big fuss when they goofed, and then told me "no customers in the work area per insurance regs" blah, blah, blah... I changed to nother place, and I am allowed in the work area, can watch the mounting, and even when they do my alignment etc. and they are fine with me being picky...
Safety First, Fun second.. You can get hurt or killed mixing that up...
Ok, enough of me babbling... Enjoy your new wheels![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Cheers
