Just been to see a 1990 S4 here in the DFW area.
Dark Blue with Blue interior. Seats are dark with a lighter blue piping.
92K miles. Mechanically seems OK. Had the TB and WP done by local Porsche wrench so we can check it out.
Paint is faded and I don't think it will buff up.
Dash and pod are cracked.
Drivers seat upper door side bolster split.
Rest of interior great. No warpage on panels.
Needs new steering wheel or needs recovering.
New alternator. Both belly pans. Decent tires.
Apart from that looks straight no dings or dents.
Seller wants $9K but I think will take less.
I am passing because of the dash.
I have pics so anyone interested let me know by PM with your email.
No affiliation just like to see it go to a good home.

Does it have the "Do It Yourself" manual transmission, or the superior "Fully Equipped by Porsche" Automatic Transmission?

Seller says he owned car since 1992. Says car sat outdoors for most of its life. It looks like a car that has sat outside. Dash and pod are cracked up pretty bad. For me, I would have to paint it too. Interior needs work as well.
Just what I could see on cosmetics said I'd be spending a several grand...that would have been before having mechanical checked out.
He was to bring car to reputable mechanic shop for pre-buy inspection, but no-showed and has not returned my calls. His name is James.
Suggest anyone thinking about buying do so with good due diligence.
