Default Dead Horse beating

Bilsteins/Konis
Eibachs/Hyperco

SO i know this has been talked about before, and I have extensively searched the archives here and on the tips pages.

I like the bilsteins. I know they can be revalved IN TOWN, and I have personal experience with the ride quality. The bilsteins I have are paired with front eibachs and rear springs from the FRONT of a 928S4. I have these on my 78, but I need to choose some setup for my 89, which will be a bit lighter then stock, and I will be tracking it. But it will also be a somewhat daily driver as well. It will have urethane bushings in many places, so I am concerned about the harshness of the car with extra stiff springs.

Anyone go back to back with konis and Bilsteins? ANyone go back to back with the eibach/front mix and some hypercos?

Thanks,
Brendan

We have used both and I really do like the Bilstein unit more. The Konis either in the adjustable or non-adjustable just seem to be less substantial. I guess if weight is an issue you could probably save a couple of pounds with the Koni's. In a full race application, neither works extremely well. You would want to look toward a race manufacturer like Penske, Koni racing, or Ohlins.

Just my two cents.

The Eibach 928 springs exist ONLY because we have them made to our specifications about 100 sets at a time. With out our buying power Eibach would have little interest in making custom 928 springs at all. So Yes we have springs and shocks !!
