Default Shift **** insert

Got the leather boot, got the **** but I haven't got the inlay with the crest that holds the leather over ****. Checked with dealership and it only comes as one whole unit. Anybody got an idea where I can get one?

Adam use your old one. No crest, just shift pattern. Assuming we're talking 5spd.

Heinrich-
Thanx, I haven't got the old inlay. I wouldn't mind the one with the shift pattern but I've yet to see one with the right pattern. I saw one with the crest on line but I had to order it from England and it would have taken months. Any other ideas? My buddy and I are looking for a temp fix, maybe silver dollars?
I read many threads about shortening the shifter and that's now on my things to do list too. Thanx again for the input.

I recommend you keep an eye out - they are incredibly rare .... and in the interim just make one by using a plastic strip in the shape of a little hoop and covering it in a leather circle, folded under.

Thanx Tom for the web site. I've got it on order and having it shipped 2d day so I'll have it for this coming weekends' 928S fun run. No, I don't know, what happens to UK metal?
