Haven't decided, yet, but if you leave Friday AM, that might work for me. I'd like to be there for the reception. Not sure, yet, if I will head home right after the event, or take a few days off.

OK, I just got off the horn with Mary, who hooked me right up with the special rate and was pleasant and sweet to boot. I'm all set.

I also registered on the form linked above. I have one question though... where it says:

"OPTIONAL - If you would like to receive importation information related to this event, please provide your e-mail address below (you will not be contacted for any other reason):"

So are you guys going to import a Euro for me? I'd like a GTS please, 5 speed, all leather, no disco colored leather...

Everyone should do there best to make Friday night. The lounge is VERY cool and cozy with a terrace area and tables. The 928 crowd will fit perfectly in here with great food and spirits! Lot's of 928 and other cool car stuff will be playing on the big screens in the lounge. Heck, I am looking forward to Friday night now BIG time!

The current "letters of intent" are in triple digits ALREADY with nearly a MONTH to go. Keith , Dan ,Mark have had numerous pledges from suppliers for some great "door prizes ............ like how about a set of tubular exhaust headers.....from MSDS , just to mention one . Friday reception no host bar, Saturday free all day session including the famous Blake's Barbeque catered luncheon , tech sessions ,car display and a afternoon driving tour . Saturday evening no host reception , dinner and party with awards at the hotel (Holiday Inn Diamond Bar) . Sunday at the Peterson with vendor displays , 928 car show, special tour of behind the scenes; nominal admission fee for the Peterson with special 928 only parking area in the garage.

Randy maybe this year you get your own special door prize.......... literally an old door . I like the attitude "give me free gifts and give them to me when I want them" . But your point is a good one!

"But your point is a good one!"
Which point is that???

We had too many doorprizes last year that we couldn't give them all away. We had to stop the event many times on Saturday to give out doorprizes. This year we have narrowed the giveaways down to very cool 928 related items.

Some special things we are working on is 928 Art, as in photo's, paintings, the stuff for you garage or what ever. I think most will find that what we will be auctioning and giving away this year will make the recipients the envy of all!

Got my plane tickets and rental turd lined up. Need to get the hotel thing down yet.

I'll be landing Thursday afternoon and will need some form of entertainment for Th and Fr until the reception. Anyone else coming in early? If someone can recommend a good surfing spot, I'd like to rent a board and do some shredding, Kona style.

Scott

edit: Snagged my room for 3 nights, and, may even have a date w/ Mary from the Hotel Sounds like she is looking forward to the event.
