Default door a/c vents

I have been tinkering with my door ac vents and some of the slats have jumped into the wrong position on the little wire they rest on to line them all up. I can't find any posts on the boards about how to remove the vents from the armrests. How do I get the vents out for some R&R? One slat was also broken so I need to replace it.

Thanks,

Karl

I used a two small putty knives to get to the prongs, but I'm sure there is a better way

credit card or putty knife works, but it is a bit tricky. On the driver side, I think you can remove the coin holder and push up while you use the putty knife. Good luck!

Butter knife works like a hot damb. First pry the forward side up a little, then go to the back and do the same, until you can wiggle it out . That piece is stronger than it looks.Mike
