Well,
from my head, to the card mock up..to a chunk of metal!
Im pretty damn proud of myself actually! This is what enjoy about this SC thing. It should work OK i guess.

I added a copper scrubber to the top, then sealed it in using aluminum wire mesh sandwiched between the two halfs of the assembly. With 4 tack welds on each corner, nothing is going anywhere. I ground down all my welds and it actually looks pretty good!

BTW..if there is anythign wrong with it. I dont want to know. Im done messing with it!

Tony ... pot scourers, when I've used them ... they've always left little pieces everywhere. I wouldn't put them into the engine ....

They have plastic pot scrubbers, with the exact same consistency and texture. Wouldn't one of those work just as well as the metal ones?

Thank the words FAA and STC for the price..insane for what it really is!.

I love when a plan comes together.
Its done and has just been test fitted. All fits neatly next to and slighlty below the brake resivour/booster area. POIFECT!!Now i get to grind the welds down and add a dose of black wrinkle paint. Took all but 15minutes tops to get welded up. I stood there and held the parts as they were tacked.
And it DIDNT cost me 300-400 bucks either!

I have used one system for years, and recently, tried another "route", and pumped out about 1 full qt of oil...some onto the headers.............not a pretty sight...

Using the valve covers as part of the breather system is not the best way to go. I have also used the oil filler neck with not much better results. Each will produce about 1 pint for each half hour racing. I am working on a system to reduce it to zero without dumping it into the exhaust...although the easy way is becoming attractive!

A DeVore/DEVEK dry sump, as used on other dry sumped 928 racers, is set for the next engine revision.

Well, i guess i will see. Others seem to be having success with there home made breathers, besides, this isnt a race engine in a race car used for racing YMMV.
