Question What is the worst or best thing that has ever happened to you with your 928?

The best thing that happened to me and I smile every time I think of it was when I first got the car. This guy in a Honda Civic (all tricked out) was tailgating me. He was pushing all of my buttons. He revved his car everytime we got to a stop light. I was ready to step out of the car and ring his neck. I didn't want to put my car through its paces yet. I just got it and the previous owner had the 928 sitting in his garage for over a year. Well, he finally got on my last nerve. I punched the accelerator and he disappeared from my rear view mirror. I left him in a cloud of dust inhaling my exhaust. I guess all he had under the hood was noise.
I guess the worst thing that happened to me in this car happened several weeks ago with those hard to reach door *****. My car appeared to have caught fire. In a panic I tried to get out of my car. I had the doors closed (what a mistake). I couldn't get out of the car. I turned the **** but it didn't open the door. Here I am with smoke coming out of my engine and rising from out of my driver side mirror. It appeared to have been an electrical fire (which it was). When I couldn't jump out I tried turning off the car. The car refused to turn off. I tried again to open the door and finally it opened. That was the last time I drove with my doors closed. Luckily for me my sons are fully grown this could have easily turned into a disaster.

Lets see, worste thing, in the span of a month I got a speeding ticket, was run into by an F-350, and then ran into a Honda Civic. Pretty much totaling the Civic.

Best thing, my insurance went down after that. Thats right, it went down about 50 dollars, NOT up.

Other than that, loseing a timeing belt in the middle of no where at about 10:30 or so was pretty bad.

Well...some sort of omen I believe...I more or less had sex in my car the first night I owned it, girl that I met at a club that night. I'll keep the details to myself, but trust me-it was a pretty wild ride...

Worst? The way every muscle in my body ached for days after I changed my motor mounts and steering rack-!

N!

Best thing- hasn't even gotten me a speeding ticket! I feel like a grandma driving an auto, so my speed reflects this accordingly (usually)...

Worst- Hit the side of a highway. Have receipts for 9k+ in repairs. New hood, chin spoiler, exhaust system and so on adds up nicely.

Eh.

Best thing - my '87 S4 was mistaken for a new car by a customer at the Porsche dealership. Worst thing - racing a cop (he was not amused).

Best: A day of DE at Sebring raceway with the GT. First true chance to truly understand just how capable these cars are.

Worst: In the S4. Getting rear ended by a Pontiac Sunfire. Her car was totalled. Both her airbags went off. Steam, smoke and a disoriented pregnant driver all pouring out of the car at once. I helped her lie down on the grass, called 911 and waited. They got there fast. I confirmed with the paramedic that she was ok. I confirmed with the officer in charge that there was no question as to who was at fault. I watched as they loaded up her completely destroyed car. Then I got in mine and drove home.

The best:
Without a doubt, the great people I have meet and friends I have made in this community.

The Worst:
Putting my 87 into the tire barrier on a very dark, rainy day at VIR...just two weeks before losing my job!
