Question items needed, will pay $$$$

I am looking for the folllowing items for a '94 GTS that must be leather, and must be black! These are hard to find items, especially on US models, but I'm willing to pay for their rarity!

black leather center console for a '90 or later airbag model (excluding cassette box)

black leather trim peice for around the gearbox housing

black leather ashtray

black leather sun visors

black leather instrument pod housing for a post '89 model

black leather trim section for under the steering column on a post '90 model

black leather rear AC cover

black leather door handle and map compartment cover for both driver and pasenger doors

black leather A and B pillar posts

Unlike Europe, these would be very rare finds here in the US for any post '86 models. Please let me know if you have any of these and would be willing to part for $$$$ or trade for 100% pure vinyl parts of the same!

You might be better off having a good upholstery shop do this on your original parts. Then you can be sure it looks like new. All you need is some good pictures of late model 928s with full leather interior, my recommendation is the '92 or '93 GTS brochure for Germany or other European countries (they have larger, more detailed pictures than the small books for '94/95!!!)

I agree with Nicole. You're going to drop some serious cash to buy those items in good condition.

Send a PM to "robmb" here. He knows some talented folks that have already made leather for the pod and dash. Hey may have an extra piece for the pod leftover.

NO.

I had a world-acclaimed (no kidding) shop cover my pod and they redid it 6 times (of their own accord); then they gave me it back along with a bill for $860 and a lot of foam rubber under the leather because they were simply unable to get the leather thin and stretched enough to match the face. DO NOT DO IT. As I suppose everyone knows by now, I then set out and bought a brand new in-box black leather dash; pod and centre console.

I have a rear ac surround in black leather as well as the top black leather insert that fits over it. Low, there is no chance you will find leather a-pillar covers, trust me. If you do, and you have spares, please sell them to me. Beware: the older style is not stitched, leather or not. I would happily trade the rear ac stuff for leather a-pillar covers (sewn). Btw I bought items from Rob, they are excellent, but I am sure he was not able to do the pod.

An upholstery shop will not be able to replicate factory work. I'm also always looking for leather goodies.

My only advice to you would be to not limit yourself to black items only. Any color can be dyed to a factory black, just make sure it's leather.

I have a spare black leather Rear A/C console (two pieces).

On the Pod in leather.... Has anyone tried covering the Pod in Porsche Sheet Vinyl? Stuff looks like real leather, but is much more plyable.

If You still want to investigate redoing Your items in leather, and money is no object, You should talk to http://www.techart.de/e6.htm They are in Germany, they use Porsche leather (I bought one hide from them - supperb quality), and they cover anything You want. I would aske them to e-mail to You pictures of their work though. I have seen leather pods done here - they did NOT look good at all. I assume that German craftsmenship may be higher.
