BigDave:

That's OK, as long as you put on the right license plate frame:

There is only 928. Everything else is tied for third.

Cheers

My next Porsche outside the 928 would be the 930 turbo. Their pretty nice but I would probably go back to Corvettes. The 928 really is the bomb. I am a huge dude @ 6' 400 and I am very comfy in the 928. The only other car to give me speed and confort was my 81 T/A. The other sports cars I always felt mushed.

Big Dave:

Excellent choice. It is awfully difficult to beat a 993 cabriolet for aesthetics. It is the first cabrio I would want personally. It will be awhile until anyone even Porsche beats that form.

I'd go for a 1989 944S2 or an early 90s Mercedes-Benz 500E (the other 8-cylinder Porsche).

Book value to book value= 93 gts traded for Lamborghini Jalpa And 928s4 traded for 1986 Audi Ur- quattro turbo coupe. I had an 85 -wonderful car- unfortunately ,I wrote it off!! If I could find one I would get it NOW! Mike

968 without question. I owned a 930 turbo for a number of years and the 911 types are hard to work on, set valves, etc. When I am not in the 928 and wish for comfort I drive the 500E.

Here is my second (and third ) - seriously - I don't need another GT cruiser, the 928 is the best there is...there is no better fun factor for the $$$ than a Miata, and the Grand Cherokee has loads of torque in a 235 hp V8(surprised many a ricer at a stop light!) and can still get 21 mpg on the freeway - I love em all! (although I tell my 928 that I love it the most )

996, turbo preferred or maybe even C4S, but any will do.

My most recent 2nd Porsche was the '89 Carrera I sold a couple years ago. If I were to buy another Porsche soon it would likely be a 944 Turbo S, although there are some 996s around for mid-30s that would be very tempting! That's assuming we're talking about cars we could actually afford to buy...

me also for a 944 Turbo S. Or maybe my old 924s which was also very nice, I had one of the last ones with 160hp 944 motor, 924 turbo brakes and underpinnings also it was slimmer, lighter and more manouverable than the 944 - until a friend rolled it for me one frosty morning.
