Mine too, and there is a bracket in the middle of the front edge of the seat that I believe was put there to strap a baby seat down. I removed it and used the hardware and threaded holes to attach the extinguisher bracket to the car. The fire extinguisher fits there perfectly.

I have been working on an aluminum bracket that would screw into exactly that location. Right now mine just lays on the floor behind the driver's seat and I reach for it with my left hand if necessary. I would welcome a drawing of your bracket if you have one Gretch. I am worried that those screw holes are too close together and a moment will be created on the bracket. I don't want to drill any new holes in that part of the body. I planned to place the bracket under the strap anchoring fitting on the face of the body panel below the seat pad.

Anyways, on the orginal posted topic:

I think a complete 928 Timing Belt, Water Pump, & Tensioner Service Package Deal would sell. That way no forgetting rubber boots, c-clips, sundry little things. It's a" discount" for us and "selling ALL the extra goodies" deal for the vendors.

I wish the B-3 would sell interior and exterior screw nut/ bolt hardware kits. Mike.

Surely the dry powder shiite is just as "deadly"...

Re: location of fire extinguishers for Sharks. Idea...why doesn't someone come up with a direct- injection nozzle (permanently mounted) that with the touch of a well-protected button "fires" from the canister to the fuse/relay panel area? That would save the time it takes to frantically pull the cover, mess around with the fire extinguisher, etc. I suppose another one could be mounted in the engine bay? I'm sure someone has thought about this and already ruled it out for good reasons....

Tim
Actually Tim, those systems already exist, but we're talking $$$. If I built a track car I'd definitely want to go that route, probably with a backup very close at hand... probably on the roll cage. Yes, accessible while strapped in. The central systems may be a bit overkill on a street ride, but if it really floats your boat, go for it!

Just remember that central systems will not do anything for a fire say at the fuel pump or under the car, unless you put nozzles everywhere and have a huge tank of supressant. Keep a backup!

Mike:
When I was restoring my Speedster, I bought an entire car for just the transmission case and the spare metric nuts/bolts. After stripping it I found I had to cut it in half and dump it. Hope I never do that again.
