Donald,
I'm in California with Ahrnold. I still have the house in Round Rock, so you never know. It's been a while since the polished engine was discussed and thought I throw a different option out there. The forum was right in terms of oxidation on the exposed metal, but it really isn't too bad. It just takes a minute to bring the luster back and lasts for ~2 months. Of corse powder coating would be much easier.

Oscar-
Mine is off being powder puffed at the moment. I noticed you moved your official Rennlist address- no one will know what I was on about!

Shark infestation...Hmmmm. I'm trying to get one going in my garage.
Yeah Matt, I had these things polished in Texas. There was alot of useful info on the this board when I did it. Bottom line, I'd do the same thing all over again. It's a bit of work to maintain the finish but well worth it...to me anyways. I think an S would look spiffy with the huge intake. I'm not sure if these things can be chrome plated. There's a bunch of stuff one can do while the intake is off. I replaced the knock sensors, adjusted the throttle sensor, sent the injectors out for an overhaul, replaced many hoses and gaskets, and cleaned a mess of stuff.
