PET 5 v 6, res issue solved
the esteemed JM sent me an older PET 5 and low and behold it loads! I can now drag the program to secondary monitor and all is perfect!
it appears it will load under any screen res, you just can't see the whole program, PET6 checks your system prior to install and PET5 does not
just an FYI for all who may have run across this issue
THANKS Jim

I have pet 5 and it wouldnt install at low res. Runs at any, but you cant see all the screen. Whats different in Pet 6 in terms of information? I just discovered that I can print to pdf file from it, so I may start building a printed manual from that.

Rixter,
glad the PET5 worked for you. From a previous thread, it looks like a program called winspace light may solve your screen resolution issues. It allows you to use the program at lower screen resolutions and, although you can't see the whole page at one time, it allows you to pan the page around so you can see all of it. I haven't used it but it's supposed to work. The biggest difference I'm aware of from pet 5 to pet6 is model year coverage, which isn't an issue for 928 owners. There may well be some part number changes as older parts are superceded but I wouldn't think you'd lose much in terms of info going w PET5.
