Default Frenzy 8: Request for Tech Session Topics

I am heading up the Agenda for Frenzy 8 on the request of the Frenzy Chairman, Larry Gunter. I would like to know what topics people would like to see covered this year.

Just a Reminder that Frenzy 8 has been rescheduled to Oct 29 - 31, 2004 this year.

Randy V, can we get this toped for a week or two while I collect suggestions.

Best Regards,
John Eifert

Hmmmmmm......well.....to combine my answer to both you and Jim, I'm sure there are things we haven't covered, and you can't bring the 928 into the bar to lock in the car ***** (I'm sure I would have managed that already if that were possible).

How to recover seats.
Installing carpets.

Installing a SC would take the entire event, but if Quick Carl or Murph show, we'll gladly give them some time.

Hmmmmm.....it just so happens I have a couple seats with the covers off the bottoms right now that I need to finish. I also have extensive experience messing with door panels and I am restoring a set right now for the S4.

The electrical gremlins issue has also been raised off board to me, so I think that we will prepare something along those lines.

Thanks for the input.

Preventive maintance for the NOVICE, NON electrical genious NON mechanically inclined, BUT willing individuals who want to treat their sharks as best as possible WITHOUT using the shop mechanic for everything.

That is what the Frenzy is always about. Expect a good agenda, the ideas are coming in.

What the location again on the FRENZY? Sounds like a great road trip/vacation!

Having internet access while my car sits in my garage gives me all kinds of confidence in dealing with practically any problem....but when I'm out on the road w/no web access, it's a different story. The idea of leaving my car on the side of the road, or watching Cletus load "the first kind of Porch I seen like this" on the back of his rollback makes me cringe.
So - probably done a few times already, but how about a briefing on the things that can leave you on the side of the road, and a roadside repair tutorial that can get you up & running (in some cases, of course) with a suggested emergency kit....model specific?
And a re-briefing about rollback hitch points (do I sound paranoid?). I know that's been covered, but I could get a refresher.

The Frenzy is held in the Washington DC area. This year it will be within easy access of Dulles Intl. Airport for those who will fly in. The dates are Oct 29 - 31.

Noted. We've touched in this before and Wally P. showed us his "get you home gizmo" relay jumper. We could include it in electrical gremlins. I have noted your request.

John:

I could do a 30 minute demo on replacing the A/C head unit relay as Dr. Bob has posted. I did this one last month. That's about how long it takes to remove from the dash, show it off and replace it.

Done deal! I actually have a spare A/C head that needs that anyway.
