Default S4 Intake manifold fun.

Does everybody here enjoy removing and re-fitting these as much as I do, or is it just me?

a 4 inch long block of 2x4 works a treat when placed flat into the V,
tie a string to it so you can pull it to the back ,
when its time.

My least favorite job is stripping the GTS intake manifold of PC.
Its almost better to fit an S4 intake.

I used to dread it, now it's second nature. That happens where you're making custom parts and have to remove / install it a dozen or more times in one weekend LOL.

Only did it twice (second time to replace the two items I neglected to do the first time…). Used Dwayne’s write up. Not dreading it but certainly happy to hopefully not have to do it for a few years.
@Mrmerlin wish you told me about the 2x4 trick Sounds better than two folded cam cover gasket cardboards.

I actually liked doing valve covers more merely because I enjoyed dousing them with aircraft remover and painting them real pretty.

I made an extension for the ISV lead. With that it's easy to disconnect everything and remove the intake. I'll thank myself in a few years when it is time for another refresh
