Interesting, but I don't like the added "stuff" in the line of sight... At night, from the driver's seat, I bet those look like the ears on an animal. Far more intrusive on the driver's line of sight than the simple, minimalist pod...

Google language tools translation:

Hello Porsche fan! I sell a Porsche 928 with folding headlights. For me is 928 the that only protects everyday life-suited Porsche - thoroughly and Unikat (folding headlight) it is on the one hand one the absolutely best high-speed rice haven car of the world, which with its handling characteristics under no circumstances behind Ferrari, Corvette, 911, 968, 944 does not only have to hide itself; it has also an almost unbeatable comfort, it radiates absloute security, sovereignty, elegance, leaving and absolute superiority! Besides it is absolutely everyday life suited, it has also a tidy baggage compartment, which by the diagonal rear flap and the hinged rear seats on enormous even LOD EFLA ash will load optimally for the journey can. It offers in an emergency also problem-free four persons place and is unbeatably more guenstig:Er in the maintenance for this fahrzeugklasse has TOP Versicherungseinstufungen (class of type of liability 17 this witnesses from absolute security) it has a favorable consumption - according to autopicture fig. 12,8l, with me approx. 14l; -). It does not have special technical lack or diseases like others this class to separate absolutely developed. He is to be gotten at reasonable prices. With reasonable care istzudem an increase in value to expect there Unikat. All around, the 928 is a Jack of all trades, who leaves a problem unresolved to automobiles in the everyday life hardly.

To the technical data: 235 KW/320 HP from 4898 ccm with 8 cylinders, 32 valves, 4 obenliegende cam shafts and a maximum torque of 435 Nm, as well as minimum (!) torque of 370 Nm result in 265 KM/h maximum speed I were already in the case of 290Km/h as well as "0 to 100" in approx. 6 Sek!Karosserieverbreiterung in the back 43MM shim Porsche, changed exhaust system Nachschalldaempfer double final pipe natuehrlich everything in the Kfz letter registered. Tire: in front 225/50ZR16 hinten245/45ZR16 on original Porsche aluminum rims, TUEV + OUTER May 2006. Check book-maintained with provable kilometer conditions of the cars is besides accident-free. The equipment: Door lining, instrument panel, roof in light-grey leather of sport seats with electrical seat adjustment, and seat heating climatic mechanism, electrical steel sun roof, electrical window lifters, zentralverriegelung, automatic transmission, Metalliclack, Colorverglasung, windshield antenna, aluminum rims. The instrument panel has no tears as with most; the seats are not worn. With car radio Grundig Travel pilot Dx-r52 with CD as well as Naviegationsystem, Eqilizer, amplifier 300W, in the trunk giant boxes, super sound. It is to me because of it a perfect vehicle to hand over much, therefore I did not save also to the straight lining up little thing - he is to have still another long life and keep running like many other still times so many kilometers. Dieseer 5l V8 actually is to be gotten not broken; -)

Each also still so well received car has lack if it is naturally used. To me admitted would like I therefore clearly and relentlessly to designate: The model-typically frequent contact problem in the display seems to have met also it: There is constantly (since approx. 30.000km) the brake control light and sometimes the oil pressure light on. This seems to be a bad contact, because if one drives over a stronger bump disappears suddenly both lights at the same time. In addition oil pressure and also brakes is perfectly correct, the air conditioning system must be refilled the nozzles for windshield wiper system to clog fast (Porsche-typically). There are only much, very few in such a condition - I had even at that time for a long time searched. Normally this vehicle is it a Unikat is priceless there and very high collecting tank value has.

It gives the car sad eyes.

I like em when they are shut though.

The one consolation of the headlight mod is that the "sad eyes" can't be seen at night....they DO look just fine when closed however. Reminds me a bit of the BMW 840/850 series.
Best,
Tim

Not by others, but I bet it looks pretty "sad" from the cockpit at night. Like animal ears, or maybe a gunsight...

Simply awful, like most attempts to "improve" the perfectly refined function and form of the 928.

I think it looks really good closed.

Makes the nose look even more pointed and sharklike.

But yes, it looks ugly when open.

It makes me think about what other headlight options would work.
What about pop-ups, in the same location, but with projectors,
so they only pop open in slits, and have dual projectors?
Then it would look "angry" when the lights are open,
instead of sad!

bc,

Exactly. I always thought that would be the ideal "compromise" - using projectors to minimize the "raising of the eyelids" on a pop-up.
