Thom, here you make a judgement about someone you've never met, slap on a degrading label, and tell him to leave this community because in your sole judgement somebody that you can slap that label on does not belong here.

Mike expresses himself differently. What is wrong with that? I didn't see anything offensive here until you started in. Certainly no attacks until yours. Is that what you consider normal, attacking people, thus your judgement that Mike is abnormal therefore unacceptable?

All I asked was take the fight elsewhere, and I do not in any way intend to start a new one. People joke and poke at each other in real life, and it's all over this board too. You might think about trying to get used to that, and to people who aren't exactly like you.

Mike,

Hope you are able to make it to one of the two.

Been to Devek Days once, lotsa of fun and of course SF is a blast.

Never been to Sharktoberfest but of course LA is lotsa fun.

Pick one and go. I'm hitting both this year, I'll buy ya a beer if you make it.

I don't always get him either... but that's OK. People come here from all over the world. Often we have no idea what may be "normal" in the context of another person's life. Even profanity can be entirely relative, it seems.

What we all have in common though is the 928 and our relationship with the beasts. I was simply expressing that I prefer discussing what we have in common, until I felt like I had to say something more.

Mike is working on his Andy Kaufman. It's progressing slowly but surely...

We all know Mike ain't right. He is out there somewhere waiting to return home. But for his time here he has never insulted anyone. His love for Monty Paython explains his humor. . At least to me. Sure, he's off the wall but I'm finding his humor humorous these days. I haven't seen Randy step into any of his posts saying he has crossed the line. Though Mikes line is crooked, curved, bend & missing in places he has yet to cross it. In my closing statement i'd like to say . . Can't we all just get along. Thank You . . Drive thru

Mike is speaking Canadian. I'll be happy to translate for anyone who can't understand him.

Thom: Have you ever noticed how children pick on what they don't understand? Mike's icons are very funny. Take at look at Monty Python and lighten up, but you probably won't like them. May the Shark be with you.

Thom, like someone said, use the "ignore button", I do........

(on your posts actually....but not on Mike's............Just so you get some idea of the way the crowd is leaning)

......Don't bother to reply, I won't see it unless someone else copies it to their post.......It is a great feature of this board.....go ahead, use it.....I highly recommend it.

Mike, you know you are a little "touched", doncha boy............??

How could someone be annoyed by Monty Python characters as avatars????

A bit touchy.

As others have said, if someone bothers you, use the ignore button. You won't see his/her posts.

What's wrong with a little random humor and random insanity?
Sometimes you just have to laugh at things, because of how absurd they are.
Sometimes things that make no sense, are funny for exactly that reason.

I guess some people just want straightforward, matter-of-fact conversations.
No humor, etc.

Well, this is the real world, and a lot of us like having a little humor and variety in our lives. Deal with it.

FROM MIKE'S WIFE...

I just took a few minutes to review this thread...

'Off the wall', 'Loony', Out there', 'Touched'...most definitely!!
'Offensive...perhaps, but NEVER intentionally!

Since finding this site (to a few user's chagrin), he's has talked endlessly about how great it is to be able to chat with people who share the great
appreciation he has for his 928 - I didn't realize there were more of you!
He has had nothing but great things to say about the other men and women on this site!

Thanks to the guys who had his back.

One of Mike's greatest quality is his ability NOT to take himself too seriously...

Advice to those who didn't!

Mike,

I usually get things, but I don't get what people are seeing wrong with ANY of your posts. Of course, I grew up thinking Monty Python was the funniest thing going, so I might not be a good reference.

Your original post could have been made by me, because I regret not having attended any 928 events yet. (damb it)

Anyway, I hope to meet you (and everyone else) at an event soon. Maybe even before next year.

As for people that not only don't get it, but feel the need to attack, well, as you probably don't know, You just don't get it do you?
