928th on 928s - and shapely rears
Post #928 has arrived: to mention it is a bit crass - like singing 'happy birthday' to yourself; however, it only happens once and is a good opportunity to say that it has been a blast to join in on this forum and share the wealth of knowledge available - so thanks to all!!!
For the 928 content (and to avoid the OT abyss), I was reflecting on the sculpted lines of Porsche design. There is a harmony to the flow of the elements and lines that produce this enduring excellence of design: many aspects of this are better enjoyed in isolation - close up.
I very much like the rear design, so a good place to start - in part because it was so widely criticized initially, but(t) it has stood the test of time.
So, how do you 'see' your car - close up?

Very nice, Garth.... Oh, and happy 928th!
This is my favorite close-up of my car, for the same reasons. I love the sculpted, flowing lines, the economy of form and what I consider timeless beauty. Also, I love the way that the wheels improved the stance of the car. This was right after I put them on:
This next pic is my favorite closeup taken on or near the car, but it's cropped so close that it's not really about the 928 anymore, but what the hey...

Happy 928th Garth....like the shot of the GTS and the detail of Dave's chrome wheel and center cap. I'll post one of mine later tonight...
