Can anyone offer pics of sharks with bras? I've been driving mine a lot more lately and am getting blemishes in the paint up front. I personally don't care for cars with bra's, however, I don't want anymore damage to the paint. I don't think i've seen any 928's with them. I was wondering how it looks. Thanks.

Bras cause more damage to the paint than rocks.........
You're gonna have to repaint the front bumper cover eventually, bra or no, so might as well go with what looks best.
In fact, on my NSX the bra did more damage to the paint than rocks etc ever have (PO drove the NSX about 2 years with a bra on).
Sorry, don't have any Bra photos, so can't actually answer your question

Based on my observations bras are no longer in style or favor . While functional , the lines and creases create an un-natural look . That takes away from the smooth flowing lines . There is just something seductive about that bra-less look . I for one am quick to remove them at my first opportunity . Just one man's opinion .

Karmann,
I received outstanding feedback, thanks to all(!), about paint protection. I couldn't figure out how to "paste" the actual thread so, perhaps, you could do a search for "Temporary Paint Protection" which was the thread's title. Again, my thanks for the thread's incredible feedback.

Jim,
CONCENTRATE!! We're talking about cars!
I put mine on for the trip to Hallett and on to Wichita. Took it off in Wichita and was too lazy to put it on for the drive back home.
I think they're a good idea for a long trip or a dirt road, but a lousy idea for daily driving. If it starts to rain you'll need to remove it immediately---in the rain.

Now. Mr. Bailey? I need your expert opinion. I'm thinking that's a 38DD size?

I think the black bra on the front balances the black spoiler i the rear, at leaston the white 88. Eventually I'll get a nose repaint and plan on the clear 3M film..the highway I drive everday has a lot of trucks!

Worf,
Don't take this the wrong way but your bra looks super. Did you install it and then tighten it with a heat gun?!? Seriously though, it looks great. Thanks for sharing.

I think bras fell into disfavor because they were used incorrectly. I haven't got one for my shark yet, but for the other two cars I put it on just before heading on a road trip and take it off when I get there. Too many chuckleheads were leaving them on for days, even weeks, at a time, in all sorts of weather. That's not asking for trouble, that's jumping up and down waving your arms yelling "Hey, trouble - over here!!" So now you've got everyone blaming car bras for the ills of the car world.

I like this because, as you can see my wife's driving this one. I got the 88 for a daly driver after my Audi TT cost me $4000 for what should have been warranty work...blew the theory about the "high" upkeep for the Porsche. When I could not decide which to take to SITM, Sherri suggested take both and she'll drive the auto. Heck I spent most of the drive there trying to catch up with her, I left a handheld GPS in the car to check the speedometer because I got the 17" wheels the day before we left, and when I went to turn it off the max. speed for the trip was 108...she was playing cat and mouse with a SS. The bra is a Porsche one for the S4, a real snug fit, and easy to install. Thanks Ed M

I second Emanuel's comments. If you use a bra correctly it will protect your car. If you do not then it will damage your car. It is a PITA to use them correctly. You have to be the **** retentive type.
First you have to fit it correctly. Read the install directions. No looseness anywhere.
- always clean
- always dry
- on when driving, off when parked
Obviously you can leave it on for a day or two - when it's dry. And you don't have to take it off and put it back on when you stop for a burger on a road trip. But, if it starts raining on the drive, you stop and take it off. At the end of the day on a long road trip, the bra gets first dibs on the shower in your hotel room, then the mini-vac treatment. In the morning the car's front-end gets cleaned with SpeedShine or Meguiar's Final Inspection and clean cotton towels with each portion of the towel used exactly once.
Did I mention the **** retentive thing?
