Default Anyone have spintech mufflers??

I'm looking to get a little more sound from my car. I currently have a cat bypass and the resonators bypassed also. The only thing that's left is the stock S4 muffler. At this point, the car is just way to quite. I can barely tell it's on at idle and is only a little louder when I rev it. I can't go with an RMB because I have the resonators removed(it would be way to loud).

I'm looking for some more sound without the ugly resonance. Would spintechs work? If so, wich one?? They have some many different ones, it's hard to choose.

I think Brendan has Spintech's. Do a search and see what pops up.

I did a complete search, it seams that there are allot of Borlas here. There are very little posts about Spintech's. Anyone have any more info on them?

What I did.

Bypassed the two in and two out resonator.

Fabricated a collector from 2 - 2 1/4" pipes into 1 - 3" pipe.

Installed a Flowmaster 40 Series 3" in and 3" out muffler at the end.

Total Cost - 175.00

Less Weight - more power and a cool ....... not so loud sound when cruising at speed. (Unless you depress the throttle then Boo Ya!) -

I'm rying to get in touch with an audio recorder so I may post it on the web - stay Tuned!

I've been running the Spintech Sportsman Series for about 4 years, with no complaints.

I had them on the old 81 auto. I liked them alot, and they sounded quite nice, if not a bit boomy sometimes. Of course, I only had ONE dual in, dual out, and it was at the very end of the system under the bumper. Straight pipes with a crossover until then. So I supposed it was actually quite controlled for what it was.
