I have a whole CD burned of just driving songs...

But for aggressive driving in the German machine, Rammstein seems appropriate.
(German industrial rock)

Although on long trips I enjoy Tom Petty.

Wow,

The picks have been very interesting so far. Heinrich, you seem more classical heavy than even I am - and I thought I was bad (we actually have a decent FM classical station in town, it's easy to listen whenever).

3 is soooo limited, but I guess that's the point, nothing too obtuse, just the guilty pleasures...

- Wagner, yeah "Ride of the Valkyrie" is overplayed, but IMHO, still appropo
-Tangerine Dream - Pretty much anything. More euro-techno, but not as edged as Rammstein. True, they did the (better parts) of the sound track to 'Risky Business', but I liked them prior to that.
- Cheap Trick - "Reach Out" from the soundtrack of 'Heavy Metal'.

Iggy Pop
Bad Brains
Donald Byrd

But I like literally thousands of bands. So if I were to post in the next three seconds, it would be a different three.

Hi Greg, we have a pretty good one here too, but the large number of ads kinda lessen the value ... I love Rammstein's "Engel", but unfortunately the words just don't go with my Religious views.

For me...

Rush
Rage against the Machine
and lately..Audioslave
-----------------------------------------------------------
Edit..haha..just read 2v4vs response.....I ditto his comments on tangerine dream :-)

For a Floyd type alternative..Tangerine Dream......their music typically has no lyrics..but well suited for a GT style fast cruise on the autobahn. They also did the background soundtrack for Risky Business...remember the tunes while they were on the train.. :-)

I also like the music to Quake, sometimes for driving ..... and very much enjoy the Need For Speed soundtracks also. But as I say, only for mellow driving, under 120 or so ....
