Default Seatbelt light will not go out

Trying to fix some niggles that have been bothering me for a while. On my '91 S4, the seatbelt light will not go out. I've tried to figure out if I have a bad belt connector or a break in the wiring. Appreciate any hints. Thx

IIRC there is a pressure switch under the seat, have you looked at the wiring under the seat?

Thx for the response Dave. I took the seat out when I reupholstered it and don't think I had an issue with it at that time, but I will recheck. I also have an ABS light on and that might be throwing the seatbelt light on by itself. Lot's of small bugs to work out.'

Jesse,

You might also check the wires emanating from the buckle side under the carpet. Maybe they got disconnected?

Hey John
I disconnected the receptacle wires to see if I could check continuity, bad receptacle, but didn't get any worthwhile results. Decided to check with the hive mind before going any further.

Jesse,
Mu understanding is that the buckle completes the circuit. When you disco'ed the wires and checked the continuity, did you have the buckle engaged?

I checked continuity with the buckle engaged and not engaged and got no continuity either way. Like I said, the results confused me and I decided to seek help here. Results would indicate to me that there is a fault in the buckle receptacle, but that seems unlikely.
