Brake master remanufacturer in Canada

Brake master remanufacturer in Canada
After letting it sit for a year, I finally got around to the brake master cylinder job.
Being in Canada, it's sometimes a pain dealing with getting parts across the border.
As such, I was able to find a remanufacturer close to home that did a great job.
I got the brake master back Friday and installed it that evening ... works flawless!
The remanufacturer re-sleeved the step bore cylinder with stainless steel.
They indicated that they used 304 stainless that they imported from Australia to avoid any quality issues.
I expect that this brake master will outlast me now!
If any one else is interested, the place I used was:
John Stuart Power Brake Company Limited
Stoney Creek, Ontario

Good to know, another local chap tried a rebuild recently and it failed. The issue is if the bore needs to be sleeved or if it is useable.
I have used John Stewart in the past as well, but never for a brake master. Great guys.

Thank you - that's great information. One of my race cars needs the masters rebuilt, and while I can get new seal kits, the M/C bodies are NLA and I'd rather not replace the entire pedal box with a different design.

As Adam noted, I found a local rebuilder to rebuild mine. I bought a MC rebuild kit from Porsche. The rebuilder said the Kit was not a direct fit (even though it was a 928 part). But was able to used some of the rubber seals from the kit. Unfortunately they were unable to properly seal the unit and it leaked brake fluid into my brake booster.
I ended up buying a brand new MC from Porsche and it fits and is working perfectly.

They charged me $500CAN to remanufacture mine.
They said it would normally be $400, but charge an extra $100 due to machining the step bore.
The price is similar to Mark or Roger, but I didn't have to deal with the border ... dropped it off and picked up a week later.
I bring it to the attention of the folks in the Great White North more so than those south of the border.
They sleeved it with 304 stainless steel, new internal seals, and seals for the reservoir.
The also cleaned up the casting and put a clear coat on it.
The turnover time was about a week.
So far, I've had no issues ... she's accelerating and stopping great!
