Door pin switch open turns radio off
Ok, so like most owners I have a Euro 928S 1985 where someone went haywire with the stereo wiring and the aftermarket radio and I'm trying to make sense out of it.
Getting there, and I'm probably doing something really silly but my current situ is not how it should:
Without key in ignition:
Current situation:
Radio works all fine, with the doors closed.
Once I open the door, radio triggers to go off.
Obv I would like to have:
Radio goes on when doors get opened.
Anyone has a clue?
Radio is an aftermarket Blaupunkt Valencia

take the console apart and trace the wires,
someone has mis wired your radio,
one goes to battery the other to key switched.
NOTE check the relays / and fuses.
as its also possible you could have the wrong relay installed,
OR a relay in the wrong position,
OR you could have a fuse in a slot that not supposed to have a fuse.

the wrong relay could be back powering a wire thats connected to the radio,
same thing with a fuse in the wrong slot,
dont take anything for granted when you find funky things happening.
Make sure you verify every relay part number and installed location take a picture of the CE panel before you start.
its likely that the radio has been mis wired under the console,
use the WD in the WSM to find the original radio harness ,
then verify battery and switched sources ,
note you might also have a power antenna this harness could have been used for the radio

not sure when this change was implemented in the Euro cars, but I believe it occurred between 85-85 in the US cars. Also don't know where they're picking up switched radio power on your stereo, but it is possible that your car is wired similar to the US 86 and your switched power is from the same source as the windows, which stay live after turning off and removing the until you open any of the doors.
here is an excerpt from the US 86 owner's manual.

Maybe that's not how they're supposed to function, but it's super convenient, so not something I'm going to "fix".

Closing the thread, "found" the issue.
So indeed, there were some extra fuses in slots which shouldn't have fuses, I removed those and the door open/close trigger is reversed and OK.
I've also dug into why it's not connected to the ignition any more, but when retracing the wire, this was disconnected and the suppressor was also removed, so one of the PO rewired it.

my friend who has a 1984 928S has a likewise issue with operating the power windows.
He can only operate his windows with doors opened.
Any idea what may cause this?
I noticed that a 1984 has 2 relays for power windows while my 1980 928S only has one.

NO I am not sure, just going on posted info,
At this point, this is a question I would ask Alan.
He is the best electron wrangler.
NOTE I thought their was a Euro fuse panel diagram but I couldnt find it ,
so I posted the diagram from Rogers site,
AND thats a copy of Alans work.
Since their looks like a conflict, we may need more info,
how about you post a picture of your CE panel. and part number
