1987 928S4 Automatic Belt Tension Dash Light
Hello everyone, wanted to ask a quick question on the 87 928S4 belt tension light. I am newbie to this and wondering if anyone know good resource/shop in Raleigh NC area to check it out for me.

If the light is coming on after you start the engine and or when driving, you should STOP starting the car and have it flat bedded to a know 928 shop.
If the belt is loose and jumps timing it will get very very expensive (pull engine and redo heads/valve job).

There is also a retrofit spring tensioner option (Porken Tensioner) you can install when doing the belt and water pump - it never needs adjusting, just like a modern car. Have them in both my 928s.
