Default Part number search Fuel line from pump '78 Euro

Hi, my name is Stephen, I don't post on here often but I do appreciate the help when I do.
I have a '78 Euro and have been slowly replacing fuel lines to get her back on the road this year. One of the fuel lines that still seems to be leaking (of course it wasn't before I started fixing things) is the line running from the pump that has the banjo bolt on it. Can someone please tell me the part number for this so I can get a replacement. I am having a difficult time finding it for some reason. Thank you so much!

On a side note...suppose (hypothetically of course), that while replacing the injectors, one of the aluminum injector rings couldn't be screwed in all the way, how might this affect the drivability?

Why isn't it screwing down all the way? I can't imagine something being so messed up with the plenum that repairing the threads isn't an option without having much greater concerns.

That hose from pump one to the bottom of pump two (in the rear of the right rear wheelwell) is 928 356 021 01. Highly unlikely that it's still available from Porsche. Your best options for reproductions are 928sRus or Precision Motorwerks.

Let's just say I tried several times to screw it down but I'm thinking that it may have gotten cross threaded. It seems to be sticking out about a 1/4 of an inch from how the other ones are sitting...just wondering if it is going to mess everything up, or if it's going to make it misfire...or leak?

I think that's exactly why I'm having difficulty finding it. The one you mentioned (928 356 021 01) looks different in the pictures to what I have...Does the end of the hose where the banjo bolt goes different on these hoses or am I missing something?
My hose runs from the pump underneath the tank just like you said...

Many hoses in the Porsche PET diagrams look nothing like they do in real life, you kind of have to reality-check what's actually on your car. And there were a bunch of different configurations of fuel pumps and hoses in 1978, so this is where pictures are worth lots of words.

Have a look above the right rear tire at about 10 o'clock, there should be a second fuel pump. The hose from the first pump with the leaky banjo fitting (in your pic in post #1) runs up to the right rear wheelwell and threads into the bottom of the second fuel pump like so:

Damn, I wish my underside looked that clean! Here are a few pics of the area you described. I don't think I have another pump like you do in the picture...

No 2nd pump?

Sorry, my photos always look so crappy.

Nothing that 5 minutes in the local carwash bay with their pressure wand won't fix. Looks like you have the early '78 fuel setup with the 2nd pump bypass pipe (kind of rare), but a replacement for 928 356 021 01 should still work for your car.
