Default CE Plug Terminal

Does anyone know of a source to get this terminal or somethingthat will work? I've looked everywhere and can't seem to march it up. Already checked with Roger and he doesn't have it. I was told Hella 8KW 054 944-003 is a perfect fit but they don't seem to be in the US. Its the one that goes in the colored plugs at the bottom of the CE panel. It broke when I tried to reuse it.

It goes into these plugs at the bottom of the CE panel. Specifically, where those burnt wires are that I'm repairing.

OK so you need a pin that goes into the later model CE panel connector.
you could sneak one out of the flap control connector.if your flaps are disabled,
Dang it , what year are we working on>?

Its a 1989 S4. Flaps are still connected and operate properly.

I ordered these today from Digikey. They look the same, except the crimp is on the side which I don't think will matter. I believe they are the same size but we will see.

That is a great deal for those kinds of terminals - and while these aren't an absolutely exact match - they look pretty well equivalent in design and are clearly high quality terminals. Crimp position doesn't matter very much (perhaps only for clearance with many parallel connections?). And two sizes - very good find!

I'm a little late giving an update but FedEx decided to send the terminals on a trip to North Georgia and back so they got delivered when I was out of town. The tips of these look slightly different than the original one but they are the same dimensions and it clipped right into the CE plug. The crimp being on the side didn't matter at all. I now have working door switches controlling the interior lights. Hopefully this info helps someone else if they need these terminals.

Which tool did you use to de-pin those connectors? I have three I need to remove to fix my CE panel. Someone spliced in for a radio hack and I need to de-pin those wires to add heat shrink over the spliced in points.

I got these connectors for my radio fix. https://www.digikey.com/en/products/...wGYC0BGEBdAvkA

The de-pin tool I used for that doesn't seen to work for the CE panel.

I just had a cheap set of a bunch of de-pin tools I bought off Amazon a few years ago. Found the ones that fit down the slot next to the connector. Not the best tool as they are flimsy but I got it to work eventually.

I was afraid you were going to say that. I have a few sets of those tools and some more expensive versions. My hope was it was a lack of the proper tool and not a lack of skill. Ha!
